Cartel Terrorists Fire on Border Patrol Agents; Texas Authorities Warn of Drug Cartel IEDs

A week after President Donald Trump signed an executive order designating drug cartels as terrorist organizations, cartel terrorists opened fire on Texas Border Patrol agents on Monday as members of the terror group were trying to smuggle illegal aliens into the U.S.

The Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman, Chris Olivarez, released drone footage showing armed cartel members taking refuge on an island between Mexico and the U.S. after the shootout.

The Mexican cartel terrorists opened fire while agents were patrolling near Fronton, Texas, in Starr County.

Fox News reporter Bill Melugin reported that no one was hit on either side, but that the terror cartel was successfully prevented from delivering the illegal immigrants into the U.S.

“Border Patrol agents near Fronton, TX were fired upon from MX by suspected cartel gunmen as a group of illegal aliens were being brought across the river. I’m told BP returned fire, nobody hit on either side, and that the illegal aliens did not make it across,” said Melugin on X.

Though the cartel operatives were seemingly firing from Mexico to the U.S., they were forced to flee onto the island rather than retreat into their country because the Mexican military had arrived to secure the area.

It remains unclear whether the cartel operatives are still stuck on the island between the U.S. and Mexico.

The shootout came after President Trump promised to crack down on cartel activities and secure the border.

Since taking office last week, the Commander-in-Chief has already ordered 1,500 active-duty troops to the border.

The incident sparked renewed calls from many on the right for Trump to send U.S. troops into Mexico to destroy the cartels.

Despite the new direction emanating from the White House, cartel activities appear to be ramping up in response to Trump’s proposed crackdown.

On Monday, Brownsville, Texas issued a warning to anyone traveling over the border into Mexico, claiming that drug cartels have placed bombs along roads in Tamaulipas, Mexico, improvised explosive devices similar to what American troops have encountered in the Middle East.

Last week, cartel terrorists attacked and robbed a Canadian citizen and an American citizen hiking in the Jacumba Wilderness in California, north of the U.S.-Mexico border.

They shot one of the hikers in the leg before robbing them and fleeing the scene.

Border Patrol agents tracked the cartel members until they fled into Mexico.

Main stream media is remarkably quiet about the tranny terrorist shooting of the border agent near the northern border in Vermont. The worst of this is yet to come.

This is nothing new , Mexico has been shooting at our CBP Agents since there has been a Border ..There are as many Cartel Members inside the US as in Mexico … My advice is to shoot first and let the Vultures feed.
