Following a month-long investigation into suspected drug trafficking, the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a Norridgewock home that resulted in four arrests and the seizure of over $20,000 in illegal drugs and multiple firearms.
Deputies and detectives from the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office, alongside a detective from the Waterville Police Department, executed the search warrant at the Madison Road property in Norridgewock at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27.
Upon executing the search warrant, law enforcement observed two male suspects fleeing from the residence. Both suspects were later apprehended in the wooded area behind the residence.
In the area from where the male suspects had fled the home, detectives found a loaded 9mm pistol, along with cocaine base (crack cocaine) and fentanyl.
During their search of the property, law enforcement found a total of 223 grams of cocaine base and fentanyl, worth an estimated $23,000.
Also seized during the search were controlled pills, a loaded .380 caliber pistol, a loaded .45 caliber pistol, a loaded 9mm pistol, a 12gauge shotgun, $2,491 in suspected illegal drug proceeds, and other drug-related paraphernalia.
Leeanna Gosselin, 31, of Norridgewock, who the Sheriff’s Office says is the owner of the property, was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs.
Three additional suspects were arrested at the residence, who are also each facing two counts of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs:
- Randell Woods, 39, of Norridgewock;
- Kahmarii James, 25, of Springfield, Mass.;
- Jason Fogg, 33, of Enfield, Conn.
All four suspects’ bail was set at $100,000 cash, and have been scheduled for court appearances before the Somerset County Unified Criminal Court at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, March 7.
The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office says additional criminal charges against the four suspects may be forthcoming following a review of the cases by the Somerset County District Attorney’s Office.
