Four Ecuadorian illegal aliens caught a one-way ticket back to South America thanks to a busted tail light and some diligent cops from a small town on the Maine-Canada border.

A Fort Fairfield officer pulled a vehicle over for a busted tail light this week, but the roadside interview revealed the driver and his passengers were up to more than operating a defective motor vehicle.

According to the local TV station that first reported the story, authorities discovered three Ecuadorian nationals and one Guatemalan national.

All four foreign nationals were present in the U.S. illegally, U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents confirmed.

This time last year, such an incident would likely have led to the four illegal aliens being released into the interior of the country anyway, judging by previous police incident reports reviewed by the Maine Wire.

But this week, all four illegal aliens were processed rapidly for administrative removal, i.e. speedy deportation to their countries of origin.

The four were swiftly handed over to Enforcement and Removal Operations and are now set to be deported.
