The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA) announced the arrest of two men on Tuesday at a residence in Dixfield following a two-month investigation into illegal drug trafficking.

Kenneth McCoullum, 33, of Portland, and Joshua Campbell, 38, of Dixfield, face multiple charges, including aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs (cocaine), after a search warrant was executed at Campbell’s home at 57B High Street in Dixfield.

The MDEA says they had been conducting an investigation into potential illegal drug trafficking from the Dixfield home for the past two months, and were able to conduct undercover purchases of illegal drugs, including of crack cocaine, from the residence.

A search of the Campbell’s residence on Tuesday resulted in the seizure of approximately 225 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine, 10 grams of fentanyl, assorted unidentified capsules and pills, three loaded firearms and $4,350 in suspected drug proceeds.

On the morning of the raid, at approximately 9:00 a.m., MDEA agents encountered resistance as they attempted to enter the property when Campbell physically tried to block their entry, but he was subsequently taken into custody.

Meanwhile, McCoullum, spotted by agents at a second-floor window, allegedly tossed a firearm outside in an apparent attempt to flee. He was later apprehended in a bathroom, where he was trying to destroy several bags of illegal drugs.

At the time of his arrest, McCoullum had an outstanding Somerset County arrest warrant on him for failure to appear for drug trafficking and firearm charges with a bail set on the warrant at $100,000.

He was also out on bail for previous drug charges for which he was required to wear an electronic monitoring device, which he was not wearing at the time of his arrest.

Both McCoullum and Campbell were transported to the Oxford County Jail. Bail was set for Campbell at $25,000 cash.

McCoullum faces charges of aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs (cocaine) (two counts, Class A), possession of a firearm by a prohibited person (Class B), and violation of conditional release (Class C).

Campbell is charged with aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs (cocaine) (Class A) and obstruction of government administration (Class D).

MDEA stated the operation was supported by the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office, Rumford Police Department, and U.S. Border Patrol.

Well some of the Maine cop are walking up to the fact the DEMOCRATLY controlled State of Maine is infested with drugs in an attempt to dull our citizens by the Governor so she can take over.
Good Sheriffs and cops will win.

So, they will send the police to your house if you act a little strange or an ex-girlfriend want revenge and says you are crazy. They will remove all the firearms in your home whether they are yours or someone else’s who lives in the residence.
They won’t immediately go search your residence for firearm if you get a warrant for failing to appear. That would be too inconvenient. This shows that the gun control laws are only intended to control law abiding citizens, not prevent criminals from possessing.
