A Rumford man being held at the Oxford County Jail following his arrest earlier this month on drug charges is facing new felony counts of illegal firearm possession after additional searches executed by police.

Rumford Police say that they executed a search warrant at 419 Roxbury Notch Rd. in Roxbury on Wednesday morning in connection to an ongoing criminal investigation into 33-year-old Alexander Taylor Kubesh for drug trafficking and alleged illegal possession of firearms.

Rumford Police, assisted by the Norway Police Department, Oxford County Sheriff’s Office, and U.S. Border Patrol, were able to recover an AR-15 rifle, a .50-caliber muzzleloader, a firearm suppressor and assorted ammunition from Kubesh’s Roxbury property.

There, two young children and two dogs were found living in what police called unsanitary conditions.

At the time of the Wednesday search, Kubesh was already in custody at the Oxford County Jail following his arrest by Rumford Police on April 3.

Kubesh’s April 3 arrest stemmed from a search of his residence on Pine Street in Rumford. Following the search, he was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of fentanyl, felony possession of cocaine base (crack cocaine) and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

While no firearms were found by police during the search of Kubesh’s Pine Street residence, police say they received information that he was concealing firearms at a secondary location in Roxbury, prompting Wednesday’s search.

Kubesh now faces an additional three felony counts of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. Each count carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine if he is convicted.

According to Rumford Police, Kubesh is multi-state offender with a prior criminal history that includes convictions in Maine for disorderly conduct, violating conditions of release, felony trafficking in scheduled drugs, and probation violation.

Due to his status as a convicted felon, Kubesh is legally prohibited from possessing firearms.

If he was in Cumberland County with Soros sponsored DA Jackie Satorious, he’d probably get bail set at $50, and be back in that house he turned into a shithole.
