The Massachusetts GOP took to social media on Thursday to thank The Maine Wire for its work to expose the illegal Chinese-operated marijuana empire operating in rural Maine, which they believe led to a federal bust that targeted multiple illicit grows in Mass.

“@TheMaineWire made this happen. Without new media, foreign nationals would still be running this drug ring with impunity under Democratic leadership,” said the Mass GOP.

The bust led to charges for seven Chinese nationals, who authorities believe were smuggled into the U.S., and who were being forced to work in the illegal grows until they could repay their smuggling debts.

The federal bust targeted multiple grow houses across Massachusetts and Maine, including locations in Braintree, Mass.; Melrose, Mass.; and Greenfield, Mass.

According to the Boston Herald, Gov Maura Healey (D-Mass.) is “grateful” for the bust.

“I’m grateful for the work of the Massachusetts State Police’s Special Services Section and our federal and local partners to put an end to this criminal enterprise,” said Gov. Healey.

If genuine, Healey’s gratitude sets her in stark contrast to Gov. Janet Mills (D-Maine), who has pointedly refused to address the hundreds of illegal grow houses in her state and has repeatedly ignored questions about it.

Notably, Healey’s statement implied that the criminal enterprise has been put to an end with a few raids and charges for just seven individuals, when, in reality, the enterprise is likely far from defeated, with hundreds more illegal sites operating unopposed across the region, and elsewhere in America.

Healy also praised the partnership between local and federal law enforcement, while she maintains policies that subvert federal immigration law by allowing illegal immigrants to receive drivers licenses, or by housing illegal immigrant criminals in the now-infamous Healey Hotels on taxpayer funds.

The Maine Wire initially brought the proliferation of Chinese-operated marijuana grow houses to national attention in late 2023, and has continued to uncover more information about their operations.

The Maine Wire’s first full-length documentary, High Crimes: The Chinese Mafia’s Takeover of Rural America, launched at the start of this month in partnership with the Tucker Carlson Network via their platform.

On Thursday, Tucker Carlson released the latest episode of his podcast, interviewing The Maine Wire Editor-in-Chief Steve Robinson about the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) aligned organized criminals taking over rural homes to grow illicit cannabis laced with illegal neurotoxic pesticides smuggled in from China.

Chinese crime gangs are flooding rural America with drugs. Steve Robinson of the Maine Wire is one of the only journalists who’s noticed. A shocking story.
