High-Risk Windham Drug Bust Leads to Seven Arrests

The Windham Police Department executed a high-risk search warrant on Tuesday morning following a months-long investigation into drug trafficking, human trafficking, and prostitution, among other criminal activities.

Windham police responded to 30 Snowy Ridge Road with assistance from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department and the Cumberland County Regional Emergency Services Unit at around 6:30 a.m. to execute the warrant.

Police revealed few details about what took place during the raid, but as a result, Snowy Ridge Road was temporarily closed, and all seven arrested suspects faced charges for refusing to submit to arrest and creating a police standoff.

Police arrested:

  • Daniel Yates, 34 of Windham, on outstanding criminal arrest warrants, refusing to submit to detention, and creating a police standoff
  • Trista Townsend, 36, of Limington, on charges of refusing to submit to detention, violating conditions of release, and creating a police standoff.
  • Ciara Rose, 33, homeless, on charges of refusing to submit to detention, creating a police standoff, and violating conditions of release.
  • Brandi Hamm, 34, of Windham, on charges of refusing to submit to detention and, creating a police standoff.
  • Luke Boyle, 31, of Portland, on outstanding criminal arrest warrants, refusing to submit to detention and, creating a police standoff.
  • Michael Morehead, 47, of Gorham, on a probation violation, refusing to submit to detention and, creating a police standoff.
  • Justin Ramsey, 32, of Otisfield, on outstanding criminal arrest warrants, refusing to submit to detention and, creating a police standoff.

Police say that the investigation remains ongoing, with more charges likely to follow for the individuals already arrested and more arrests anticipated.
