‘Spray To Park:’ Midcoast Maine Tony Town’s New Parking Meters Defaced, Vandalized By Woke Suspect

Quoth the Raven: Never-pay, it's racist

Camden cops are hoping someone drops a dime on the pink-stained political activist who damaged $175,000 worth of spanking-new parking kiosks.

Online grime stoppers are suggesting that an angry woke Karen was behind the colorful-yet-costly vandalism spree.

The culprit used pink spray paint to deface the meters – a unique and hard-to-miss color choice.

The unhappy camper also injected spray foam insulation into the meters’ credit-card slots, preventing card payments.

Meanwhile, alert Redditors may be onto something by speculating that a left-wing actor who goes by the name “The Raven” on social media might be involved.

“Far-left activists have openly criticized the new parking meters saying they disproportionately exclude ‘people of color’ & marginalized groups – preventing access/parking,” according to @Unquirer on the X platform.

Pink painted hearts – often a symbolic choice of trans-activist graffiti artists – were painted on the meters.

The same color and design was used by a peace-and-love graffiti maven in a Bath vandalism tirade earlier this year.

Leftists have been among the most outspoken critics of Camden’s kiosk meters, which had been installed Sept. 6 in anticipation of a new paid-parking system.

The controversial pay-to-park project in the downtown was approved last fall by the Camden Select Board, but on a split 3-2 vote.

Twenty-five of the 30 new meters – which cost $7,000 each – were targeted with the pink paint and spray foam.

That’s a total of $175,000 in vandalized meters. It’s going to take a lot of quarters to make up that deficit.

Town officials were offering a $5,000 payday to anyone brave enough to turn in the spray-to-park scofflaw.

Cops are reviewing downtown surveillance footage, some of which appears to show someone making the rounds on a bike.

Know anyone who recently put in an order for a case of pink spray paint?
