A portion of U.S. Route 302 in Westbrook was shut down Monday after a fire broke out in a building in the city’s Prides Corner neighborhood, police said.
According to the Westbrook Police Department, the closure was announced at about 12:25 p.m. and affected Bridgton Road (Route 302) between East Bridge Street and the intersection of Pride and Brook streets.
Traffic reopened shortly after 2 p.m., about 90 minutes after the road was closed.
No further details about the fire were disclosed by police.
