A Lebanon, Maine, man was arrested by the New Hampshire State Police on Friday after he allegedly fled from a routine traffic stop before crossing into Maine and fleeing on foot.

At around 2:28 p.m., NH State Police Sergeant Gary Wood Jr. observed a 2005 Toyota Camry allegedly driving recklessly on Gonic Road in Rochester, NH.
Wood attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver failed to stop and traveled northbound on Rochester’s Spaulding Turnpike.
Wood initiated a pursuit, and the Camry allegedly continued speeding and driving erratically, eventually crossing the border into Maine.
The driver pulled into the driveway of a Lebanon, Maine, home on North Rochester Road and allegedly fled on foot.
Wood deployed K-9 Ida, who apprehended the suspect identified as Justin T. French, 40, of Lebanon, Maine.
French was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries before being arrested and ultimately transported to the Strafford County Department of Corrections in NH.
During the investigation, troopers determined that French was wanted on multiple warrants for allegedly failing to appear in court, and law enforcement also reported that he showed signs of impairment.
He faces charges of felony reckless conduct, misdemeanor charges of aggravated driving under the influence of drugs, disobeying an officer, operating after suspension – subsequent offense, and contempt and breach of bail conditions.
Katanna A. Murphy, 24, of Lebanon, the passenger and owner of the vehicle, was arrested and charged with allowing an improper person to operate the vehicle, and was subsequently released with a court date.
