Trump Forces the Overpass Romantics into the Arms of Nicolás Maduro

Aging “No Kings” Boomers and nose-ring Columbia Intifada enthusiasts alike have a new boyfriend and his name is Nicolás Maduro. His thick, Stalin coif and mustache press all the right buttons for American progressives who adore anyone seen as oppositional to President Donald J. Trump.

Many of the Madurosexuals hated the deposed Venezuelan dictator only months ago but there is no about-face too clunky in the war against Trump.

Obviously this is the tattoo Graham Platner wishes he had, not the tattoo he actually has.

After conceding that he was a bit of a bad boy, former Vice President Kamala Harris jumped to condemn the operation to free the Venezuelan people from the clutches of the authoritarian socialist.

“This action was both unlawful and unwise,” she posted on X. “The American people do not want this.”

She went on to point the finger right at you-know-who, calling Trump a wannabe “strongman” who was “destabilizing a region” by ridding it of Maduro.

Kamala’s drastic change of heart comes less than a year after the Harris/Biden administration (or whoever was actually running the show) offered $25 million for information leading to the arrest of Maduro.

What a difference a year makes. So much for “Fweedom.”

Love is a fickle thing.

But not for Maine Democrats.

U.S. Senate hopeful Graham Platner was downright heartbroken over the Maduro ouster. With the same energy as a recently dumped girlfriend moping around her apartment in her ex’s button-down shirt, Platner lamented on X that our government had “kidnapped” the alleged narco-terrorist.

He even ran to a sparsely attended protest in Portland to mourn the corrupt leader and became so hot and bothered as to lend credence to the aphrodisiac effect of his beloved oysters.

Not to be outdone, Gov. Janet Mills (D) sprang into action, condemning Trump’s actions in a rather befuddling way considering she swiped-left on Maduro, too.

“Nicolás Maduro is a brutal dictator who has oppressed and murdered his own people,” she posted online. “I firmly believe the Venezuelan people deserve better.”

Maybe not so firmly if “better” comes at the behest of President Trump.

Funny that Mills never condemned Biden's military actions, such as the drone strike in Kabul that killed innocent civilians, but will quickly put out the statement below. https://t.co/j56NgWTxsh pic.twitter.com/t0epfE1eEg

Congresswoman Chellie Pingree (D) released a statement – you guessed it – blasting Trump right out of the box.

“The Trump Administration’s decision to apprehend and detain President Maduro is a breathtaking abuse of power,” she wrote in a terse press release. Only after mauling the 47th President of the United States in the first paragraph did she inform us that Maduro had a few flaws, too, in the second.

Make no mistake, these Democrats think Trump is a more malevolent character than Maduro. They don’t routinely call Maduro a NAZI or a racist or even an existential threat – that’s all reserved for DJT.

They are more politically aligned with Maduro’s ideology than they are with conservatism or even the democratic liberalism of twenty years ago. Plus, the oat mocha latte-sipping hipsters cooing for the likes of Mayor Mamdani probably can’t even find Venezuela on a map, let alone describe the importance of asserting Monroe Doctrine dominance over the vast natural resources that the country holds.

In the end, they share a disdain for America with Maduro. Their tales of oppressive Western colonialism align with his which is their strongest emotional draw to guys like him, Luigi Mangione, the Hamas fighters and Kilmar Ábrego García.

In fact right now, Nicolás Maduro is being held in the same New York building as Luigi Mangione. What an ideal opportunity for a BOGO conjugal visit.
