At approximately 2:20 a.m., the Knox County Sheriff’s Department provided information to Lincoln deputies about a trafficking operation.

The Knox Department specified that a vehicle was transporting a significant amount of fentanyl and cocaine to be distributed in the Midcoast area.

In response to the tip, Lincoln deputies stopped a pickup truck traveling northbound on Route 1 in Newcastle.

A K9 team arrived to assist in the investigation. The K9 “Bear” reportedly alerted officers to the presence of illegal drugs.

Deputies searched the vehicle and allegedly seized 216 grams of fentanyl and 163 grams of cocaine, with an estimated street value of $37,900.

Deputies arrested the truck’s three occupants: Jessica Fratello, 46, of Union; Khyllie Weaver, 21, of Thomaston; and Divine Devonish, 27, of New York City.

All three suspects were transported to the Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset on charges of aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs.

Devonish posted bail and was released, while Weaver and Fratello are being held on $400 bail.
