A Maine man reportedly smashed his pickup truck through a Dunkin’ Donuts and Burger King on Thursday before fleeing the scene while allegedly high and was ultimately arrested following a second crash.

The Massachusetts State Police told WCVB that, at approximately 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, a Ford F-350 pickup with Maine plates, operated by Andrew Beaulieu, 30, of Carthage, Maine, slammed into a rest stop off Route 24 South in Bridgewater, Mass.

Beaulieu allegedly slammed through the doors of a Dunkin’ Donuts and a Burger King in the rest stop.

A Burger King employee told the news outlet that the crash shook the entire building.

She reportedly witnessed the truck reversing out of the building, doing donuts in the parking lot, and fleeing the scene.

One of the truck’s plates allegedly fell off during the crash, and the police were able to use that to identify the vehicle.

An hour later, police in Westport, Mass., approximately 30 miles south of Bridgewater, responded to a single-vehicle crash.

Local police identified the vehicle as the same truck that had reportedly crashed into the rest stop.

State police responded to the scene and found that Beaulieu allegedly showed signs of impairment, and took him into custody.

He was charged with operating under the influence of drugs, negligent operation, and other unspecified offenses.
