The Brewer Police Department arrested the same man three times in less than a week, beginning on Saturday when he allegedly tried to fight customers leaving a Wilson Street business.

On Saturday, Brewer police responded to a Wilson Street business to conduct a welfare check. When they arrived, they found that David Limacher, 58, had allegedly been attempting to fight customers coming out of a different business.

He reportedly refused to leave the property despite multiple warnings, and police took him into custody.

He was charged with criminal trespass and quickly released.

Later on the same day, police responded to a business on South Main Street after an off-duty worker told them that a pizza was being delivered to the closed business, where no one should have been.

Officers arrived and discovered Limacher at the address, arresting him on another criminal trespass charge. Despite Limacher being arrested twice in the same day on the same charge, a judge once again decided that he should be released.

On Thursday, police responded to reports that a man was sleeping inside a closed business on North Main Street. The man was identified as Limacher, and he was arrested again and charged with criminal trespass and violating conditions of release.

It is not clear whether he was released again.

When I moved my Family to the Bangor area in 1972, Bangor had a nut hatch for most of the nuts in Eastern and Northern Maine. About that time the lefties took charge of most of the nut hatches in the U S of A and decided that it was unkind to lock the nuts up just because they could be unpleasant. Instead, the nuts were given a cocktail of drugs that was sure to cure all of their problems. Each morning they were given a ten dollar bill and a ride into down town Bangor.
In the middle of 1970s down town Bangor there were several bars. Turns out that psychoactive drugs and cheap beer are rather a potent mix. By 11 AM it was not safe for anyone to walk the streets, especially women. Within five to ten years almost all of the many shops in down town Bangor had closed, with some moving out to the new shopping center near the airport. From what we read here about some elderly nut in Brewer, the situation as not improved.
