The Somerset Sheriff’s Department executed a drug raid on Wednesday at a North Anson residence as the culmination of a months-long investigation into drug trafficking operations.

At approximately 1:15 p.m., the Sheriff’s Department’s Criminal Division executed a warrant at an Embden Pond Road residence.

Detectives from the Waterville Police Department joined Sheriff’s Department personnel in executing the warrant.

Law enforcement arrived to find the residents gone.

During a search of the property, law enforcement allegedly found 30 grams of suspected cocaine, along with drug paraphernalia and documentation related to drug trafficking operations.

Criminal charges will follow for suspects believed to be involved in the operation after the Somerset District Attorney’s Office reviews the case and the suspected drugs are tested at the State Laboratory.
