‘Boss, I’m Outta Here:’ Secret Service Agent Shoots Self Guarding The ‘Good Doctor’

When a Secret Service agent assigned to protect a former first lady  accidentally shot himself in the leg Friday there was a doctor in the house.

But unfortunately it was a fake one who identifies as “Dr.” Jill Biden.

The shooting occurred at Philadelphia International Airport, according to The Associated Press.

Not to ascribe any untoward get-me-out-of-this-awful-assignment-at-any-cost motive or anything but agents assigned to first-lady details are considered the runt of the litter.

The coveted assignment in the world of the Secret Service is guarding No. 1, aka the president of the United States.

Agents shadowing wives of the No. 1’s are essentially the first officers of the fleet, the three stripes flying in the right-hand seat, as it were, playing second fiddle to the four stripers, the captains in the left seat.

The one agent who made a name for himself guarding a first lady was Clint Hill, who was Jackie Kennedy’s knight in shining armor.

Hill, to his own credit, took the blame for allegedly not reacting fast enough to save her husband’s life in what ended up being his 1963 assassination in Dallas.

But despite any alleged failing on his part, Hill was considered the gold standard in the life of the Secret Service for his loyalty to Mrs. Kennedy and her kids.

She had the class that “Doctor Biden” lacks, even asking Hill on the return plane ride to Washington with her husband’s body, “Oh Mr. Hill, what’s going to happen to you now?”

Hill famously responded, “I’ll be OK, Mrs. Kennedy.”

Imagine Doctor Jill showing such class.

Jill reportedly agreed to her husband’s last run for president on the condition the campaign refer to her as “Doctor Biden” and not “Mrs. Biden.”

The fake doctor even had a standing order with the legacy media – “you are to refer to me as Dr. Biden.”

True to form, the liberal media since then have toed the line, loyalty calling her Dr. Biden in their news coverage.

The use of the title became a subject of debate following a 2020 Wall Street Journal opinion piece that suggested she drop it, arguing it should be reserved for medical doctors.

“Is There a Doctor in the White House? Not If You Need An M.D.” was the headline of the column.

Jill has a graduate (“doctorate”) degree in education, which she decided allows the doctor mantle even though she doesn’t carry a black bag.

Too bad for the agent who took a bullet for her – the good doctor didn’t have so much as a First Aid kit in her possession, let alone a stethoscope.

The agent injured Friday was taken to a local hospital for treatment, an agency spokeswoman said.
