President Donald Trump took to Truth Social early Friday morning to weigh in on the war with Iran, delivering a blunt message about what he said is the complete destruction of the Iranian regime’s military and leadership.

In the post, Trump said the United States is “totally destroying the terrorist regime of Iran, militarily, economically, and otherwise,” while accusing the New York Times of portraying the conflict inaccurately. He claimed Iran’s navy is “gone,” its air force is “no longer,” and that the country’s missiles, drones, and other capabilities are being “decimated.”

Trump also said Iranian leaders “have been wiped from the face of the earth” and declared that the United States has “unparalleled firepower, unlimited ammunition, and plenty of time.” He ended the message with a warning to “watch what happens to these deranged scumbags today.”

The president then tied the message to his time in office, writing that Iran has been “killing innocent people all over the world for 47 years,” and adding, “now I, as the 47th President of the United States of America, am killing them.”

Trump closed the post by calling it “a great honor” and signed off: “President DONALD J. TRUMP.”
