New Hampshire – A Democrat state senator said supporters of single-sex spaces that avoid combining females with biological males are engaging in “stochastic terrorism,” in statements during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Tuesday.
Trans-advocate Sen. Debra Altschiller (D-Stratham) couldn’t restrain herself while the committee considered bills HB 1217, HB1299, and HB1447, which dictate biological sex determines access to female restrooms, locker-rooms, and sports competitions disregarding “gender identity.”
The bewildered woman spoke out after Sam Hawkins of NAMI New Hampshire, a nonprofit organization, gave a speech addressing mental health strains on transgender individuals and their families outlined by the New Hampshire Journal.

Before commending the nonprofit representative with, “Thank you for bringing up the mental health toll that’s drawing from this particular, well, take on transgender people, on transgender people’s families and friends,” the senator got right into it.
Altschiller pitched a left-field statement in “And would you say that, since we’re going to have 16 bills over the course of this session, and all of — like you said — the preparation and the rhetoric around it and the fearmongering that builds from it, that this is a form of stochastic terrorism?”
Hawkins replied with unconvincing initial response after not understanding the term, but claims he’s witnessed cases of community members feeling uncomfortable about participating in legislative discussion. Stochastic Terrorism is defined as a concept used to indirectly influence individuals through repeated hostile, demonizing, or dehumanizing rhetoric through mass media or other social platforms.

Shortly after, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Bill Gannon (R-Sandown) ruled the questioning off-topic and thanked the witness. The presented bills reflect long-standing legislative efforts in the northeast, specifically New Hampshire this time around.
Common-sense argues legislation safeguards privacy, safety and fairness for women and girls in facilities also participating in activities long distinguished by biological sex, but it appears progressives suffer from selective-amnesia.
The senator’s latest remarks contend that branding parents, lawmakers and citizens who follow biological reality are engaging in terrorist behavior even as indicators show rising support for single-space restrooms, specifically from parents.
