Clifton Drug Trafficker Arrested Following Bail Check

The Penobscot Sheriff’s Department arrested a Clifton man on Wednesday after he was reportedly found with a variety of drugs during a bail check.

Penobscot deputies conducted a bail compliance check on Brandon McCann, 30, of Clifton.

During the search, deputies allegedly discovered 16.6 grams of crack cocaine, 17.6 grams of methamphetamine, and 26 methamphetamine pills.

McCann was arrested without incident and charged with two counts of unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs and violating conditions of release.

He was transported to the Penobscot County Jail, where he is being held pending court proceedings.

The investigation remains ongoing.
