At approximately 8:11 p.m., a Penobscot deputy initiated a traffic stop on Andrews Road in the tiny town of Drew Plantation.

During the stop, the deputy allegedly found approximately 20 grams of methamphetamine along with an unspecified amount of psychedelic psilocybin mushrooms.

As a result of the search, the deputy arrested the driver, Jamie Dowe, 38, of Drew Plantation, on charges of unlawful trafficking of Schedule W drugs.

He was transported to the Penobscot County Jail.

According to the 2020 Census, Drew Plantation had just 10 residences and 26 residents.
