A Miss Portland Diner customer shockingly found a surveillance camera in the eatery run by the top dog at Maine’s largest newspaper.

Cheyenne Farrell says she found the cam hidden in the women’s bathroom, according to WGME-TV.

Portland Police are investigating the creepy discovery in the diner owned by Stefanie Manning.

Manning runs the diner as a side hustle to her main dish as the president and publisher of the Portland Press Herald.

After her meal Farrell says she got up to use the bathroom, where she noticed a chair in the corner of the stall.

“I don’t think anything of it,” Farrell said.

After taking a closer look, she says she spotted something strange.

“I noticed there was a black thing on the bottom of the chair facing the toilet, and I was just kind of like, ‘This is bizarre,’” Farrell told the TV outlet.

She says it turned out to be a camera, and she caught the whole thing on her phone.

Farrell immediately said she called Portland Police.

Police logs show officers responded to the diner and spent three hours looking into “suspicious activity.”

Farrell had more questions than the cops had answers.

“Who’s on the receiving end of this?” she wondered. “And like, what is their outcome? What are they looking for? Who do they want to see naked going to the bathroom?”

“It’s terrifying,” she added. “It’s a public bathroom. It’s a family diner, so you know kids are going in there.”

Manning’s LinkedIn profile shows that besides allegedly running the Maine Trust for Local News she has owned the diner for 18 years.

“If you haven’t tried our corned beef hash you don’t know what you are missing,” she says on LinkedIn.

By all indications, she missed the installation of bathroom cam.

Will her readers read all about it?

Manning’s husband and business partner confirmed the camera.

“First and foremost, the safety, privacy, and trust of our guests and employees are extremely important to us,” Tom Manning told WGME. “We can confirm that as soon as the camera was brought to our attention, we immediately contacted the Portland police, turned over the item, and are fully cooperating with their investigation.”
