National Female Anti-Gun-Violence Group Defends Amy Gertner, Calls on Her ‘Damaged’ Husband To Quit U.S. Senate Campaign

The founder of a nationwide organization combating gun violence called Sunday for Maine’s presumptive U.S. Senate Democrat candidate to leave the race.

Shannon Watts, who founded Moms Demand Action, issued her statement after Graham Platner’s wife was seemingly forced into making a hostage video defending her husband’s alleged extramarital sexting.

“I have incredible empathy for a woman who’s just had a miscarriage having to make a video defending her husband’s infidelities,” Watts wrote on X.

Watts added that “a man so damaged by combat – according to him and his family – that he’s said and done destructive things for decades needs to recover, not run for Senate.”

Following the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in 2012, Watts started a Facebook group to unite women against the gun lobby in the way Mothers Against Drunk Driving had united mothers against the alcohol lobby in the 1980s.

The Facebook page grew into a grassroots movement after volunteers contacted Watts about forming Moms Demand Action chapters in their own communities.

The organization now has chapters in every state and over six million supporters nationwide.

Watts has campaigned for Democrats across the country so calling on a fellow party member to quit an arguably otherwise-winnable race that could help flip the Senate blue isn’t in her prayer book.

In recent surveys, Platner has been polling well against five-term GOP U.S. Sen. Susan Collins, though there were indications over the weekend that his mounting controversies may be chipping away at his supporters.

“a man so damaged by combat – according to him and his family – that he’s said and done destructive things for decades needs to recover, not run for Senate.” Back in the 1960s, when I spent 4 in the U S Navy, it was not unusual for men to have signed up because they were already having trouble in their lives on the “outside”. This weirdo Platner may have been judged so damaged that he could not hold a job in the civilian World and so is now said to be 100% disabled at $57,600 a year from the taxpayers, but he may not have been travelling with a full seabag when he enlisted. From what we read, he most certainly is not travelling with a full seabag now, and what he has is in serious need of washing.

Karen and Ted ( from down on the bridge ) will vote for Platner because they think they’re “ radical and cool “.
They will purposely avoid any kind of negative news about their candidate .
The sign on their lawn is all they need to feel virtuous and show their friends that they hate Trump too .
Karen and Ted are the real new Mainers .

I heard “planter the clam digger” wife trying to justify today’s adultery fire drill. She sounded just like jill biden, exactly. Maybe “planter the clam digger” can get a pod cast with sara gideon where they could plot their next evil plan against sue, then maybe kiss. All while his wife holds up a sheet so no one sees.
