The Office of State Fire Marshal is investigating a structure fire in Stockton Springs that destroyed a home Sunday morning and has been determined to be incendiary in nature.

On Sunday, June 14, 2026, at approximately 9:30 a.m., the Stockton Springs Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 23 Cross Lane. When firefighters arrived, they found the home fully engulfed in flames.

Crews were able to extinguish the fire, but the home was destroyed.

Following the fire, local officials requested assistance from the Office of State Fire Marshal to investigate the cause and origin of the blaze. Investigators later determined the fire was incendiary in nature.

Officials said there was no electricity connected to the structure at the time of the fire.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Office of State Fire Marshal at 207-624-7076.
