At approximately 4:20 p.m., a Penobscot Sheriff’s supervisor attempted a stop for a traffic violation in the area of Thurston’s Way.
The vehicle allegedly failed to stop and continued to the end of a residential driveway.
The driver reportedly stopped the vehicle, exited, and fled on foot.
The supervisor chased the suspect and eventually apprehended him after deploying a Taser.
The suspect was identified as David DeFilippo, 38, of Hudson, and was arrested without further incident and transported to the Penobscot County Jail.
He was charged with operating after habitual revocation, refusing to stop for law enforcement, and refusing to submit to arrest or detention.
He was also allegedly found to have absconded from probation and was wanted on an active probation revocation warrant at the time of his arrest.
DeFilippo currently appears in jail records, suggesting that he has not been released, but no mugshot was included in jail records.
He was described as a 5’9″ white male weighing 174 lbs. with brown eyes and black hair.
