The Lewiston Police Department dealt with yet another instance of minor-perpetrated gun crime on Monday when they responded to an alleged armed robbery on Pleasant Street.

The victim had allegedly arranged to purchase a firearm from the suspect on outer Pleasant Street.

During their interaction, the suspect allegedly brandished the firearm at the victim and demanded his cash before fleeing the area.

During the investigation, police allegedly identified the suspect as a 17-year-old Lewiston juvenile.

Police allegedly found the suspect armed with the firearm and recovered the stolen funds.

The Police Department did not provide any details about the victim, such as why he was allegedly seeking to purchase a firearm from a minor.

The 17-year-old was arrested and charged with robbery and criminal simulation. He was transported to the Long Creek Youth Development Facility, where he remained as of Tuesday morning.

This is just the latest in a long string of youth gun violence in the city, including one suspect, Ahmed Yussuf, who allegedly shot two people in the face last week.

Probably should have another meeting. Not to worry, Janet is addressing this as we speak.
” all we need is Gov. “
