Marjorie Taylor Greene Under Fire For Putting Truffle Oil On Maine Lobster

No sooner did an infamous former congresswoman stop in Portland for a lobster than the food critics pounced.

Ex-U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Georgia, who is on her honeymoon, included a visit to Luke’s Lobster in the state’s largest city.

But poor Marj, driven out of her congressional seat by President Trump, can’t catch a break.

Marj headlined a Facebook post about her Maine lobster dinner highlighting the fact she seasoned her steamed bug with truffle butter.

A cardinal sin.

“Just so you know, Maine residents eat their lobsters dipped in hot butter or if on a roll with a little mayo,” instructed Vanessa Caron of Greene, Maine. “No spices. That just covers up the delicious taste of the lobster.”

Greene three times was elected to Congress, most recently two years ago.

The firebrand Republican was a top Trump supporter in his first term, agreeing with his claim his 2020 re-election defeat was due to Democrat fraud.

The House five years ago voted to remove Greene from all committee roles after she endorsed political violence. Eleven Republicans joined unanimous Democrats in the vote.

Greene was appointed to new committee roles three years ago but then she was expelled from the conservative House Freedom Caucus after insulting fellow caucus member Lauren Boebert.

(She called Boebert a “little bitch” on the House floor during a heated dispute over competing resolutions to impeach President Biden.

(Greene accused Boebert of copying her own previously filed articles of impeachment against Biden and turning them into a resolution.

(Greene told Boebert, “I’ve donated to you, I’ve defended you. But you’ve been nothing but a little bitch to me.”)

Now seriously does it get any better folks?

Greene two years ago unsuccessfully attempted to oust Republican Mike Johnson from his role as Speaker of the House.

She publicly criticized Trump during his second presidency, questioning whether he was “still America First” and attacking his initial opposition to the Epstein Files Transparency Act he later signed into law.

Trump responded by berating her on Truth Social and in the press, revoking his endorsement of her and opening the door to primarying her out of her seat.

Greene subsequently announced her resignation six months ago, stating that she did not want her district to endure a “hurtful and hateful primary.”

The divorced Greene remarried a week ago, making a Maine lobster trip part of her honeymoon itinerary.

Forever loyal to her controversial public persona, no sooner did she post about putting truffle butter on a lobster at Luke’s (picture included) than the Maine claws were out for her on Facebook.
