Trans-Identifying Thomaston Resident Gets Just Nine-Month Sentence for Trying to Run Over Border Patrol Agent

A Thomaston woman was sentenced to spend just nine months in prison on Monday after attempting to run over an on-duty Border Patrol agent last year.

Olivia Wilkins, 24, of Thomaston, was sentenced by Chief U.S. District Judge Lance E. Walker after pleading guilty in March to a charge of assaulting a Border Patrol agent engaged in his official duties.

The charge could have carried up to 20 years in prison and $250,000 in fines. The reason for Judge Walker’s leniency in the sentencing is unclear.

In August 2025, Border Patrol agents responded to a single-vehicle crash in Washington, Maine, when Wilkins came upon the scene.

She parked near officers and began complaining about their presence on the scene. She was ordered to move her vehicle farther from the crash, but was allowed to continue observing them.

As an agent took an individual involved in the crash into custody, Wilkins quickly accelerated towards him, and the agent was able to pull himself and the detainee out of the road to avoid being struck.

Wilkins then fled the scene before being apprehended nearby by Maine State Police troopers.

One officer drew his weapon during the incident, and Judge Walker noted during sentencing that Wilkins was lucky that he did not fire during the attempt to run the agent down.

According to her now-deleted LinkedIn page, Wilkins also went by the name “Stevie” and preferred to use he/they pronouns.

In many parts of Maine, USBPS is the ONLY available agency to handle cop-like tasks. They actually get a mini course and certification from Maine so that they can enforce certain STATE laws. If you live in Jackman, they are your lifeline. The Sheriff’s office is over an hour away.

A honest person with a high school biology education knows that if a human being does not have a Y chromosome, she is a female. An honest journalist would always use the truthful identity. In this story, the subject is a female, correct?
