I just received a notice to apply for a license (new city ordinance they slipped through during the summer) to rent the upstairs apartment that I’ve been renting out for years without needing a license. I have to fill out the application and send it with a check for $100 (per rental unit) to the code officer. No applications will be accepted without a payment included.
