Legendary conservative talk show host Howie Carr was talking welfare reform on Tuesday and referenced a story first reported by The Maine Wire.

Carr spoke about the federal government’s increasing federal intervention in states’ administration of welfare programs including the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) February denial of Gov. Paul LePage’s proposal to put photo identification on Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards.

“Indeed, according to a report at The Maine Wire, LePage first learned of the USDA’s denial in the Portland Press Herald in mid February, a paper — a real piece of crap, I might add — owned by Pingree and her husband S. Donald Sussman,” said Carr.

Great exposure of the corruption of the Obama regime and the great effort of Governor LePage to fight welfare fraud in Maine.

It is my opinion that the welfair fraud issue is greater than one is led to believe. If we are to deal with this issue head on. First step is to have full accountability of how this money is to be used. Photo ID at every level maybe would not be a bad idea monitoring how and where the money is being spent………….Opposers of this idea is maybe where the investigations should begin……

    I agree completely!
