Congress Demands Biden Foreign Bribery Docs

Two Members of Congress sent a letter Monday to the Justice Department claiming, based on a credible whistleblower, that the FBI is sitting on evidence of President Joe Biden’s role in a foreign bribery scheme when he was Vice President.

“We have received legally protected and highly credible unclassified whistleblower disclosures,” said Senate Budget Committee Ranking Member Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) in the letter.

“Based on those disclosures, it has come to our attention that the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) possess an unclassified FD-1023 form that describes an alleged criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Biden and a foreign national relating to the exchange of money for policy decisions,” said Grassley and Comer.

The Republican lawmakers demanded the FBI produce the FD-1023, which is a document the FBI uses to record interviews with confidential human sources and other sources.

The FBI-generated FD-1023 form supposedly outlines an arrangement in which money was exchanged for policy decisions. Comer issued a subpoena following legally protected disclosures made to Grassley’s office.

Grassley said, “We believe the FBI possesses an unclassified internal document that includes very serious and detailed allegations implicating the current President of the United States. What we don’t know is what, if anything, the FBI has done to verify these claims or investigate further. The FBI’s recent history of botching politically charged investigations demands close congressional oversight.”

Grassley has long been vocal about political bias influencing high-level investigative decisions at the FBI, including investigations related to the Biden family’s foreign business arrangements and bank records.

Despite FBI Director Christopher Wray’s pledge to protect whistleblowers from retaliation, the FBI and Justice Department have yet to voluntarily provide responsive records or answers to congressional inquiries related to these politically sensitive investigations.

Comer and the Oversight Committee are investigating the Biden family’s suspicious business schemes to determine if foreign actors targeted the family, if President Biden is compromised, and if there is a national security threat.

The Committee has obtained thousands of pages of financial records related to the Biden family and their associates’ business transactions.

One such deal revealed by the Committee resulted in several members of the Biden family and their companies receiving over $1 million in more than 15 incremental payments from a Chinese company through a third party.

The subpoena demands the FBI provide all unredacted FD-1023s containing the word “Biden” and accompanying attachments and documents.
