The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA) and the Sabattus Police Department announced Thursday the arrest of two individuals on drug trafficking charges after executing a search warrant that resulted in the seizure of an estimated $35,000 worth of methamphetamine.

During the afternoon of Wednesday, Oct. 18, MDEA agents from the Western District Task Force, alongside officers from the Sabattus Police Department, executed a search warrant at 26 Ball Park Road in Sabattus, Maine.

The search came as part of a three-month investigation into a trafficking operation at the residence, according to the MDEA.

Approximately 350 plus grams of methamphetamine pre-packed for distribution, a firearm, and other items indicative of drug trafficking were found in the search.

Kristy L. Dube, 32, of Sabattus was charged with Aggravated Unlawful Trafficking of a Schedule W Drug, a Class A crime, and Violation of Conditions of Release.

Nicholas D. Hoyt, 39, also of Sabattus, was charged with Aggravated Unlawful Trafficking of a Schedule W Drug.

Dube and Hoyt were transported to the Androscoggin County Jail.

Dube is currently being held without bail pending her initial court appearance within 48 hours.

Hoyt is currently being held on $15,000 bail.
