Portland Police announced Monday that a man has been arrested in connection to the ransacking of a downtown Portland building over the weekend.

Police say they were called to 465 Congress St. in Portland on Sunday, shortly before 8 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers were informed that someone had entered the building and “ransacked the area,” which had also been done on Saturday night, according to Portland Police.

Officers then entered the building, located the suspect and placed him under arrest.

Kenneth A. Donis, 52, was arrested and charged with burglary, theft by unauthorized taking and criminal mischief.

He was taken to the Cumberland County Jail.
