Biden Orders U.S. Military Deployment to Gaza on Humanitarian Mission Amid Left-Wing Protests

President Joe Biden has ordered the U.S. military to construct a temporary pier in the Mediterranean Sea in order to bring humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza, a move that comes as the Commander-in-Chief faces criticism from left-wing voters for backing funding for Israel’s war against Hamas.

“I’m directing the U.S. military to lead an emergency mission to establish a temporary pier in the Mediterranean on the Gaza coast that can receive large ships carrying food, water, medicine and temporary shelters,” said President Biden, during his State of the Union (SOTU) address on Thursday.

Although U.S. military personnel will be constructing and operating the pier, Biden assured the country that no U.S. military personnel will be operating in Gaza.

“The concept that is being planned involves the presence of U.S. military personnel on military vessels offshore, but does not require U.S. military personnel to go ashore. In terms of security on the ground, we’re continuing to plan and coordinate with partners in the region,” said Pentagon press secretary Maj. Gen. Patrick Ryder.

According to Ryder, the pier would be able to facilitate the delivery of two million meals per day to Gaza.

The Department of Defense suggested that construction of the pier could take up to 60 days.

The pier, as part of the Joint Logistics Over-the-Shore (JLOTS) project, will be established offshore, and will receive deliveries of aid, which will then be transported from the pier to Palestinians.

Biden’s announcement came as he has suffered significant opposition from some Democratic voters, some of whom have coined the name “Genocide Joe” to refer to the president because of his support for Israel.

While driving to deliver his SOTU address, Biden’s motorcade was blocked by pro-Palestine protestors, causing a significant delay in the start of the speech.

Biden has felt the opposition of pro-Palestinian voters acutely in Michigan, the state with the highest Arab population in the country.

During a campaign rally there in February, Biden was greeted by crowds of protestors shouting that they would not vote for him on election day.

That promise proved true when Michigan’s Democrat primary results came in.

Results showed that 13 percent of Democrat voters statewide cast their ballot for “uncommitted” rather than supporting the president.

In one town, Dearborn, Biden lost by 52 percent to “uncommitted.”

As Democrat opposition to Biden has grown, he has become more critical of Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu, urging him not to invade Hamas’ last stronghold in the city of Rafah, and increasing calls for a temporary ceasefire.

Very hard to understand why the US is doing anything to facilitate the delivery of supplies to the Hamas terrorists who have murdered so many innocent Israeli citizens. Just another example of the moral confusion of Biden and the Democrats. US tax dollars absolutely should not be paying for this.
