U.S. Immigrations and Custom Enforcement (ICE) on Monday announced the arrest of an unlawfully present Mexican national who was convicted in Connecticut of driving under the influence and killing two children.

Deportation officers with ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Boston arrested the 40-year-old illegal alien, Israel Alejandro Gonzalez-Arcinega, during a traffic stop in Meriden, Conn., on May 1.

“Israel Gonzalez was convicted of driving under the influence and killing two Connecticut children,” ERO Boston Field Office Director Todd Lyons said Monday. “His actions shattered a family. We cannot allow unlawfully present convicted felons to victimize the residents of our communities.”

“ERO Boston will continue to prioritize public safety by apprehending and removing egregious offenders like Mr. Gonzalez from our New England neighborhoods,” Lyons said.

According to ICE, ERO Boston’s Harford field office lodged an immigration detainer against Gonzalez with the Meriden Police Department on Nov. 4, 2013, following the noncitizen’s involvement in a motor vehicle accident that resulted in the deaths of two Connecticut children and other injuries.

On April 21, 2014, Gonzalez was convicted in the Connecticut Superior Court in Meriden of two counts of vehicular manslaughter; three counts of assault second degree, motor vehicle; illegal operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs; and evading responsibility-death/serious injury.

Gonzalez was sentenced to 12 years in prison followed by five years of probation.

In September 2014, ICE served Gonzalez with a notice to appear before a Department of Justice (DOJ) immigration judge, which resulted in Gonzalez being ordered removed from the U.S. to Mexico in May 2015.

The Connecticut Department of Corrections did not honor the ICE detainer and released Gonzalez from custody on April 2 without notifying ERO Boston, ICE said.

Deportation officers from ERO Boston’s Hartford field office then apprehended Gonzalez on Wednesday, May 1, during a vehicle stop in Meriden, and he will remain in ERO custody pending his removal from the United States.

“pending his removal from the United States.” Isn’t that a free ticket back into the US with biden’s open border? Mexico don’t want him.

How about all offenders and eliminate them from our country and not just our neighborhoods you dimwit. While you’re at it put up the wall!

Oh well! Just another day in America as it declines into a 3rd world s—hole.
