The Maine Wire has acquired an internal Maine State Government Document intended to push supervisors working for the state to implement divisive Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) practices.

“Welcome to the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Training Resource List for supervisors in Maine State Government. A specific focus has been placed on DEI as it relates to race, disability, gender and sexuality, age, and mental health. The goal of this document is to provide learning opportunities for you as supervisors as you strive to foster inclusive work environments for your employees,” says the document.

The document promotes numerous far-left organizations and trainers, including Regina Philips, co-founder of Cross Cultural Community Services, the sister of Maine House Speaker Rachel Talbot Ross (D-Portland).

In the document, which has been in circulation since at least 2022, the Maine government is actively promoting the paid services of Philips as a DEI trainer, despite her close familial relationship to Speaker Talbot Ross.

The newly revealed document is not the only time the Maine Government has promoted or paid Philips’ company.

Earlier this year, Maine’s Permanent Commission on the Status of Racial, Indigenous, & Tribal Populations (PCRITP), which is chaired by Talbot Ross, gave $12,000 to Phillips’ non-profit for a Black History Month event.

That funding sparked numerous concerns about the possible conflict of interest, but all allegations were eventually denied by the PCRITP.

Philip’s non-profit was also co-founded by current state representative Deqa Dhalac (D-South Portland).

The DEI document is divided into four main sections based mostly on the length of time it would take for a supervisor to consume the recommended content: water break, lunch and learn, schedule ahead, and bookmark.

The first section, “water break,” is composed of short articles that could be read in 15 minutes or less, and includes articles on the benefits of hiring “neurodivergent” employees, tips on leading an “anti-racist” workplace, the importance of preferred pronouns, and an article entitled “I Was a Manager in an Ageist Workplace.”

The next section, “lunch and learn,” promotes a series of roughly hour-long DEI webinars.

The third section is composed of courses and books that supervisors are encouraged to read and take while not at work.

One such course charges attendees $99, for the privilege of earning a “DEI in the Workplace” certificate from Muma College of Business, which requires 14 hours of classes.

The final section is dedicated to miscellaneous resources, which the Maine government wants supervisors to re-visit continually, along with training resources.

In addition to Cross Cultural Community Services, Maine also promotes Nicola Chin, wife of former Democrat mayoral candidate Ben Chin, along with Maine Trans Net, a group that supports radical transgender ideology and gender transitions for minors.

We Mainers need to get rid of Talbot Ross and her far left family worming their way in Maine politics. We have already seen how dangerous people like her are in positions of power. Majority rules fellow Mainers, we need to do some serious cleaning of this scum at all levels of maine govt and any and all programs state and fed related. Get loud at local levels like to your Reps, city and town meetings and Senator level. WE as a majority have power, stop being so complacent and silent.
