Lewiston was rocked by a series of violent incidents Tuesday evening, with police responding to two separate reports of gunfire and a hit-and-run that ended in the arrest of a recently released suspect from Auburn.

The first call came just after 6:30 p.m., when Lewiston Police responded to the intersection of Ash and Howe streets for a report of shots fired.
Police say surveillance footage form the area showed two males firing a handgun down Howe Street toward the direction of Pine Street.
Two parked vehicles in the area were struck by the gunfire, but no injuries were reported, police said.
An hour later, at about 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a multi-vehicle accident at the intersection of Main and Canal streets.
Police said the offending vehicle departed the scene of the accident and proceeded to crash into other vehicles.
The suspect vehicle was located on Lisbon Street, and after a short chase the operator was apprehended and identified as Skyler Henson, 25, from Auburn.
According to Lewiston Police, Henson was arrested by Auburn Police this past weekend for causing an estimated $80,000 to $90,000 in damage to 75 different vehicles at the Rowe Auburn car dealership.
While Henson was initially held on $5,000 cash bail, the presiding judge lowered his bail to just $150, and he was released, police said.
Now back in custody after his arrest in Lewiston on Tuesday, Henson is facing charges of driving to endanger, operating after suspension, leaving the scene of a “personal injury” accident and violating conditions of release.
The chaotic night for Lewiston Police did not end there, however — at 8:25 p.m., police received another call of shots being fired in the downtown area.
Several witnesses reported hearing the gunshots, and on Wednesday morning investigators located numerous shell casings in the area of 116 Pierce St, as well as bullet holes in a nearby porch.
Police say investigators are reviewing surveillance footage and collecting evidence, and that both shots fired incidents are actively being investigated.

Connect the dots: Lewiston-before they started bringing in Somalis and other African illegals…and Lewiston-after overloading the city with Somalis and other African illegals. How did this happen and what’s the correlation?
Where are the Mug Shots Eddie Boy ? I am certain these Pillars of Society check multiple “Protected Class ” boxes .That is quite a Bail reduction by the “Judge” (and I do use the term ever so loosely) must be his outstanding ability to adhere to societal norms …These Judges and Prosecutors have Names and Addresses lets start publishing them so that both can be held accountable…obviously the only laws that are enforced are the ones that help prosecute WHITES ….
Does the judge who dropped the bail from $5000 to $150 have a name? Perhaps your readers would like to know that name and I do not believe it would be against the law to print the judges name.
It’s time to Purge.
Bail was set to $150, that’s insane! This needs to be looked into.
Bangor is next. Catholic Charities got the green light from city council.
maybe its time people start looking a Catholic Charities and these other NGOs that keep bringing in the ILLEGAL ALIENS with the Maine Communist-DemocRATS help. Oh wait that would take an effort, why bother when you are enjoying free money from them. You get what you vote for.
