The Lewiston Police Department on Tuesday announced that they had executed two search warrants, resulting in the seizure of a large amount of illegal drugs and six arrests.

Lewiston Police say the pair of search warrants are related to ongoing investigations alongside the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF).

The first search warrant was executed at about 5 a.m. on Tuesday, at 117 College St. in Lewiston.

The site of Tuesday’s raid is about a block away from 149 College St., a home which burnt down in a fire in August after multiple drug raids at the property by police over the last year.

Police say illegal drugs were seized and five people were arrested at the 117 College St. residence as a result of the search.

The following people were arrested:

  • Mara Clawson, 35, of Monson, on a charge of Violating Conditions of Release;
  • Jessica Dall, 40, of Bath, on a charge of Violating Conditions of Release;
  • Billy-Jack Curtis, 50, of Lewiston, on multiple warrants including felony Burglary charges;
  • Zacheriah Laurinaitis, 33, of Lewiston, on a charge of Violation Conditions of Release;
  • Harold Machenry, Jr., 23 of Lewiston, on charges of Refusing to Submit to Detention and Unlawful Possession of Schedule W Drugs.

The second search warrant was executed later that morning at about 10 a.m., at two apartment units located at 50 Fairmount St., a Section 8-subsidized apartment community.

Investigators found 32 grams of cocaine base (crack), 20 grams of fentanyl and 10 oxycodone pills as a result of the search of the apartments, along with other evidence of illegal drug trafficking.

The renter of the apartment, Erika Hines, 34, of Lewiston, was arrested on charges of Unlawful Trafficking in Schedule W Drugs.
