U.S. Border Patrol Union Endorses Austin Theriault for Maine’s Second District – ME-CD2

Though it's seldom emphasized, the U.S. Border Patrol also has the responsibility to cover and patrol Maine's coastline -- 287 miles long if measured as the seagull flies, but 3,478 miles if you measure the tidal coastline.

The National Border Patrol Union endorsed State Rep. Austin Theriault (R-Fort Kent) Thursday in his bid to unseat incumbent Democrat U.S. Rep. Jared Golden in the race for Maine’s Second Congressional District.

“We proudly endorse @AustinTheriault in Maine-02,” the Border Patrol Union tweeted from its official account on Thursday. “Austin will assist in cleaning up the Biden-Harris border mess and help secure our border again!”

Under the administration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, the U.S. has experienced extraordinary levels of illegal immigration, primarily over the southern border with Mexico.

According to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s data on border encounters, the number of illegal aliens entering the U.S. increased from 1.95 million in 2021 to 3.2 million in 2023.

So far in fiscal year 2024, 2.7 million unauthorized migrants have attempted to enter the U.S. illegally.

Although the national news media has focused almost entirely on illegal crossings over the southern border, the northern border — including Maine’s 611-mile long border with Canada — has also seen an increase in illegal crossings.

Though it’s seldom emphasized, the U.S. Border Patrol also has the responsibility to cover and patrol Maine’s coastline — 287 miles long if measured as the seagull flies, but 3,478 miles if you measure the tidal coastline.

According to DHS data, the northern border with Canada saw just 27,180 attempted illegal crossings; however, in 2023, 189,402 people illegally crossed the northern border.

Theriault has previously received the endorsement of former Republican President Donald Trump, who has also been endorsed by the National Border Patrol Union.

Last spring when we renewed our federal flood insurance our insurance pointed out a change in the Federal backed policy. The change was that we were responcipal for a possible extra charge of 25 to 50 % additional if the FEMA ran out of money. Well they are running out. Do You think it was all planed?
With the Baltomar Bridge mishap this year and all the river damage due to flooding do you think the Army Core will have any money left to fix the beach erosian in Southen Maine. Or will this tax money have also gone to the Harris Migrant invasion people of Souther Maine?

Oh no, this is bad. From the border patrol photo it looks like Bigfoot is trying to subvert the legal immigration process and take our jobs!
