Eleven children were hospitalized on Thursday after becoming mysteriously ill at the Wentworth School, an elementary school in Scarborough, with one child reportedly passing out and others experiencing respiratory distress.

The Scarborough Fire Department responded to the incident around 10 a.m., according to a Facebook post from the department, after receiving reports of children feeling mysteriously ill.

Scarborough Fire Chief Rich Kindelan told news outlets that, after it was determined that 11 children were affected, the incident was upgraded to a “mass casualty event,” allowing the department to call for more aid.

The incident reportedly began while a group of roughly 120 third and fourth graders were standing on a stage, rehearsing a concert. One of the students passed out, and others began to feel ill.

The 11 students transported to the hospital only sustained minor injuries and, in some cases, were sent to the hospital as a precaution.

Students and teachers were temporarily transferred to Scarborough High School but have since been allowed to return.

The cause of the incident remains mysterious, as a Fire Department investigation revealed no evidence of a gas leak or other hazards, and none of the school’s carbon monoxide detectors were triggered.

The same thing happened in Yarmouth about 2 months ago. The state of the art air filter systems seem to be poisoning children. Thank go our schools are sooo safe thanks to liberal policies.

Sounds to me that they made this school too energy efficient — every one of those children is breathing out Carbon DIOxide (CO2) and if you don’t get rid of it and it builds up, it can cause stuff like this.

What is the fresh air percentage of the HVAC? And then you can get pockets of dead air in a building — if I were a parent, I would insist on a firefighter with an electronic sniffer be in that building for all of next week, and definitely be around that room when they have children in it.

The real question for me is if the children felt better once they got outside — if so, it WAS the building, if not, it was a mass hysteria.

Also if it is new furniture, new carpeting, new curtains — it could be “outgassing” — gases being released from the new stuff and if you have a fairly airtight building, you can get a lot of really nasty stuff building up.

Did that school have WiFi in it? How many of those kids were packing cell phones? Is that school full of wireless laptops, like some Maine schools I could mention? What other wireless synthetic EMF or RFs were present?

“Mass hysteria” is a rather common phenomenon among school children. It is more common among girls. Were most of students affected young ladies? (And, yes, I know that is a politically incorrect question to ask; however, I ask it.)

maybe a disease from the “new americans”? if it was would they tell you or just play dumb…. they dont tell you what “medical treatment” they provide your to child in school… only truth is they might be lieing!

Since when do we blame furniture for “outgassing”? Must be a measles mutation. OMG that smells ……
