A Venezuelan national believed to be affiliated with the transnational criminal street gang Tren de Aragua has been arrested in Maine for theft and turned over to federal immigration agents.

U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) on Tuesday announced that on Sunday, March 30, a Venezuelan national was arrested for theft in Maine and was subsequently turned over to Border Patrol agents.

“Record checks revealed his affiliation with the notorious Tren de Aragua gang, known for violent crimes including theft, robbery, and shoplifting,” the agency wrote in a Tuesday post to social media.

According to USBP, the Venezuelan national is a repeat offender and now faces federal charges as an inadmissible alien.

On his first day in office, President Donald Trump signed an executive order to begin the process of designating various drug cartels and transnational gangs, including Tren de Aragua, as Foreign Terrorist Organizations. That designation was officially enacted on Feb. 20.

This arrest marks the second confirmed apprehension of an illegal alien Tren de Aragua member in Maine.

An illegal alien arrested late last year near Old Orchard Beach was found to be a member of Tren de Aragua and was deported to Ecuador in March.

But he’s a dad, but he’s a nice guy. But he’s an alphabet person! Just because he has the tats doesn’t mean he’s really bad does it? We need his democratic vote so we need to keep him here!

NOT! cuff him, shackle his ancles, shave his head and ship him to El Salvador on the next available flight and God Bless America!
