Two individuals out on bail were arrested in Rockland on Monday after police found fentanyl in their vehicle during a traffic stop.

Rockland Police say that at around 9 p.m. on Monday officers stopped a vehicle for traffic violations while conducting proactive patrols around a suspected drug trafficking location.

At that time, police found that several of the individuals inside of the vehicle were out on bail conditions.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of just over three grams of fentanyl, along with smaller amounts of other suspected illegal drugs.

Annie Gross, 37, of Warren, was arrested and charged with felony drug trafficking and violation of conditions of release.

According to police, Gross was on several sets of bail conditions, including from a drug charge stemming from a traffic stop in Rockland just two weeks prior.

Also arrested was John Flower Jr., 39, a transient, who was charged with violating conditions of release.

Police say Flower was on on bail stemming from a homicide investigation in Cushing.

The Midcoast Villager reported in March that Flower pleaded guilty in a Knox County court to aggravated assault, criminal mischief, and violating a condition of release for a January knife attack that occurred during a drug deal.

Flower was sentenced to 90 days in jail, but was released after just two weeks because of time served since his arrest in January.

Flower has previous state convictions for two aggravated assaults in 2004 and domestic violence assault in 2016.

He is expected to be a witness in the July 2024 case of a fatal shooting in Cushing that is alleged to have occurred during another drug deal gone bad.

When ever a person is arrested again after being released by a lib judge, that judge should be arrested with them and be charged with conspiracy to commit the same crime!
