The Westbrook Police Department responded to reports of a bank robbery taking place around 10:51 a.m. on August 7 at the Chase Bank located at Rock Row. The robber allegedly fled in the direction of Larrabee Rd.
Police did not specify how much money the suspect allegedly stole.
Law Enforcement searched the area with two K9 units, but were unable to locate the suspect, and turned to the public for help identifying the man.
Police described the suspect as a middle-aged, balding white man between 5’4″-5’8″ tall with brown and widely spaced teeth. Images of the suspect show that he was not wearing a mask during the alleged robbery.

The suspect apparently fled the state. On Thursday evening at around 5:00 p.m., the suspect was arrested in Londonderry, New Hampshire, at the request of the Westbrook Police Department.
Londonderry, NH police took Jean Gendron, 61, of Smyrna, South Carolina into custody, where he is being held as a fugitive and awaiting extradition to Maine.
Westbrook police noted that they have not yet been able to explain why a South Carolina man was allegedly robbing a bank in Westbrook, Maine.
This is the third bank robbery in Maine in under a week, after two incidents in Portland, which appeared to be carried out by the same suspect. There is no indication that Gendron had anything to do with the Portland robberies, and the Portland Police Department continues to search for the perpetrator or perpetrators in those incidents.
