A Portland man has been charged in connection with robberies at Walmart stores in Biddeford and Falmouth earlier this month, authorities said.

Biddeford police said officers responded to a Nov. 9 robbery at the Biddeford Walmart, where a suspect fled the scene in a vehicle. Investigators later identified a potential suspect and vehicle through the department’s Criminal Investigations Division.

On November 15, officers arrested 40-year-old Brian Gallerani of Portland on an outstanding probation revocation warrant with assistance from multiple law enforcement agencies. He has been charged with robbery in the Biddeford case, and additional charges are pending.

Police said further investigation tied Gallerani to a separate robbery at the Falmouth Walmart on November 14. He has been charged there with robbery, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, and criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon.

The investigation included assistance from police departments in Biddeford, Scarborough, Portland, South Portland, and Falmouth.
