At approximately 9:00 p.m., Deputy Allen Jones initiated a traffic stop on a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado with three occupants while patrolling Webb Ridge Road in St. Albans.
The investigation revealed that one of the vehicle’s occupants, Destiny Alton, 44, of Saint Albans, was allegedly subject to an active arrest warrant for domestic violence assault in Penobscot County.
Another of the occupants, Wilmer Mendez Cuevas, 22, from the Dominican Republic, allegedly gave Deputy Jones a false name and date of birth; however, further investigation revealed his true identity.
Jones conducted a search of the vehicle and allegedly discovered 56.8 grams of methamphetamine, 52 grams of fentanyl, and 2.05 grams of crack cocaine.
He arrested Cuevas and Alton, along with the third occupant, Kelly Simpson, 59, of Dexter.
Alton faces charges of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, unlawful furnishing of scheduled drugs, and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.
Cuevas faces charges of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs. The Sheriff’s Department did not provide any details on Cuevas’s immigration status.
Simpson faces charges of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs.
All three suspects are being held on $10,000 bail and are scheduled to appear in court on June 8.

Alton was previously arrested in 2018 after she was allegedly found with nearly 100 grams of fentanyl when she was pulled over for driving with a suspended license.
