At approximately 10:34 a.m., police responded to reports of a couple fighting at a residence.

Officers made contact with the female victim, and she was eventually transported to a local hospital for treatment.

She told police that her partner, Axel-Rodney Brooks, 38, of Bangor, had assaulted and threatened her all weekend.

She also accused him of choking her and knocking her unconscious.

During the weekend, a friend visited the victim, and the victim told her to call the police.

The friend informed the police that Brooks had threatened to assault her if she called law enforcement and then left in a vehicle.
