The leading Democrat in Maine’s Democrat U.S. Senate primary temporarily abandoned his plea for campaign contributions to issue a plea to his reproductively-challenged wife.
Will you love me forever?
At last “check” Graham Platner 3 weeks ago had cut short his stay in the country of Norway to jet back to Maine for an anti-ICE rally.
In so doing, Platner put what his wife has called his “great sperm” on ICE to get back to campaigning against Gov. Janet Mills.
But we haven’t heard anything since from the sperm king on the progress of the couple’s IVF treatments in Norway.
All we get for our political entertainment now is a Valentine’s card on Facebook from Graham to Amy?
“The hardest journeys can never be done alone,” Graham announced. “Amy’s support, compassion, and dedication to making this world a better place for us all makes this entire endeavor possible. I love you so much Amy Jane, Happy Valentine’sDay.”
The message was posted along with the words of a love song by Richard Marx from 1989.
Wherever you go
Whatever you do
I will be right here waiting for you
Whatever it takes
Or how my heart breaks
I will be right here waiting for you.
So what’s up with the IVF treatments, Valentine?
Graham hasn’t made any comments on that project since he and Amy put out a campaign video in which they reach out to women voters – amid a broadcast claim from Amy that “Graham has great sperm.”
“I can I say that, right?” she sheepishly, coyly asked with bedroom eyes, looking at her Valentine.
Now, Maine voters need to know – how’s the sperm thing going?
As Graham puts together a message updating Maine voters on his sperm and his wife’s eggs, he and his wife might want to take another crack at this IVF thing.
Though the couple figured they were scoring a political victory in their “great sperm” commercial by reaching out and relating to Maine women who are having trouble with getting pregnant, many thought it came off as elitist.
A large number of the women in Maine who or having trouble conceiving can’t afford IVF treatments in Maine or Norway – or anywhere for that matter.
What Graham and his lovely wife should do now is to put out a new campaign commercial saying that they are turning to adoption instead of IVF treatments because that is a way to give family to a baby who so wants to be loved but was born either out of wedlock or in other difficult circumstances.
A message such as that would also effectively and potentially bring Platner support from Republicans and pro-life conservative Democrats.
