MAR A LAGO, Florida – President Donald Trump, on Sunday, said the United States and its partners have launched “Operation Epic Fury,” describing it as one of the largest, most complex, and most overwhelming military offensives the world has ever seen.

In remarks delivered after what he characterized as 36 hours of sustained action, Trump said U.S. forces have struck hundreds of targets in Iran, including Revolutionary Guard facilities and Iranian air defense systems. He also claimed U.S. strikes “knocked out nine ships plus the naval building” in a matter of minutes.

Trump said Iran’s former supreme leader is dead, calling him “wretched and vile,” and alleged he had American blood on his hands and was responsible for the deaths of innocent people across multiple countries. Trump said he believed many Iranians would be “cheering and celebrating in the street” after the announcement of his death. He added that Iran’s military command structure has been eliminated and claimed many within Iran’s forces now want to surrender in exchange for immunity.

He said operations are continuing and will continue until U.S. objectives are met, describing those objectives as strong and non-negotiable. Trump also reflected that he “could’ve done something two weeks ago,” but said he could not reach that point earlier.

During the same remarks, Trump said three U.S. military service members were killed in action. He said the nation grieves their sacrifice, prayed for the recovery of the wounded, and expressed gratitude to the families of the fallen. He also cautioned that more casualties are possible.

Trump framed the campaign as a fight against what he called a terrorist threat aimed at “civilization,” arguing that Iran’s long-range missiles and nuclear weapons ambitions would pose a direct danger to Americans. He said the U.S. would not allow a terrorist regime armed with nuclear weapons to threaten or extort the world.

Trump said the United States has the strongest military the world has ever seen and pointed to his first term as the period when it was rebuilt. He argued the current operation is being carried out “for good,” not only to secure the present, but to protect future generations.

He described the Iranian regime as a long-running backer of terrorism and cited the slogans “death to America” and “death to Israel,” calling Iran the world’s number one state sponsor of terror. Trump said those threats would not continue.

He issued a direct warning to the Revolutionary Guard and Iranian military and police to lay down their arms and accept immunity or face what he described as certain death. He also called on Iranian patriots seeking a free country to seize the moment, urging them to be brave, bold, and heroic, and to take their country back.

Trump closed by saying he made a promise and fulfilled it, telling Iranians that what comes next is up to them, while adding the United States would be there to help. He ended with blessings for America’s warriors and the United States.
