A so-called illegal “National of the Democratic Republic of the Congo” was pulled from his car by federal agents, as seen from a bystander’s video.
BiddefordBuzz.com exclusively posted the February 27 nab and grab that occurred on Summer Street in Biddeford.
In the video, immigration-enforcement cops can be heard asking an individual to exit the vehicle.
“If you don’t come out, I’m going to break the window and pull you out,* an ICE agent was overheard telling the driver.
“When the Biddeford Buzz arrived at the scene, we observed glass shards and a glass window panel on the ground beside the vacant vehicle,” the news outlet reports. “The vehicle was not running, all of the doors were shut, and windows were up, less the shattered driver’s door window.
“We spoke to the wife of the individual detained, and she informed us that her husband is a 40-year-old father of three who is a National of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.”
The wife of the detainee denied he has a criminal record.
“We’ve been in the United States for a year,” she was quoted. “We applied for asylum, we have our work permits, and we’re also working.”
