For Animal Control Appreciation Week, Bangor Police are recapping “some of ACO Trisha Bruen’s memorable calls.”
“Often she is called upon to capture cats that are not where they should be,” the Bangor coppers said on their Facebook page.
“In this case, she rescued a cat that had somehow ended up in someone’s pool.”
“This photo is NOT of that cat,” they said in a disclaimer. “ACO Bruen had been too focused on rescuing the poor kitty and forgot to take a picture. We relied on stock photos to recreate the scene.”
The cops posted a stock photo of a kitty doing laps. Because that’s what pool kitties do.
“No animals were harmed – and the kitty was fine,” cops promised.
