Former Lewiston Man Sentenced in Federal Stalking Case for Posting Explicit Images of Victim Online

PORTLAND, Maine — A man formerly from Lewiston has been sentenced in federal court after admitting to a stalking campaign that included posting sexually explicit images of his victim online without consent.

Brent Ouellette, 34, was sentenced on April 16 in U.S. District Court in Portland to 18 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release. U.S. District Judge Stacey D. Neumann handed down the sentence.

Ouellette previously pleaded guilty on August 20, 2025.

FBI Celebrates Guilty Plea of Lewiston Cyberstalker

According to court records, Ouellette engaged in a course of conduct against the victim that included posting sexually explicit videos or pictures online without consent, contacting the victim while posing as other people, and obtaining the victim’s social media login information.

The conduct formed the basis of the federal stalking charge, which involved the use of facilities of interstate or foreign commerce.

The FBI investigated the case with assistance from Lincoln County Sherriff office.
